The Good Grief Network program, 10 Steps to Personal Resilience & Empowerment in a Chaotic Climate, is an amazing, super supportive and deeply valuable program, designed to support us through the heavy emotions of these crazy times we find ourselves to be living in and to give us opportunities to learn and grow together so that we may meet the challenges of our times. Many of us can sometimes feel despair, grief, anxiety or overwhelm, and it is important to support ourselves and each other through this, so that together we can keep moving forward in our lives and life work.
The Good Grief Network program builds community and provides the opportunity for growth and learning for resilience and empowerment. Please see the Good Grief Network website at goodgriefnetwork.org for all the information about this wonderful program.
I have since facilitated a number of rounds of the program. Each time I work through the steps it affirms to me again how supportive it is to be part of a group moving through this program, both during the program, and for growing lasting skills, knowledge, connections and networks for supporting ongoing deepening personal development and forward movement in our lives, together.

10 Steps to Resilience and Empowerment in a Chaotic Climate
An affiliate Good Grief Network peer support program, for eco-distress and other heavy emotions of our times.
Group size: 15 people, including 2 facilitators
Location: Somewhere central in Melbourne, CBDish, TBC
Fortnightly sessions: First session Saturday 3 August 2024, 11am-2pm with break, then continuing fortnightly from 17 August 11am-1pm, until 7 December. Shared lunch after the session.
Contribution requested: Your commitment to attending so that the spaces in the group are full.
Voluntary additional contributions: Anything you have to freely give or share with the group is welcomed, some snacks or lunch to share, a poem, a song, your wisdom, your appreciation, your truth, your art, your experience, your skills, your craft, your care...
If you would like to give some money that stuff is still useful and sometimes necessary. Suggested optional financial contribution range: anywhere from $1 - $100/session welcome, to help cover costs for me to continue running the program.
This is entirely optional and by willingness and capacity - your presence and participation is more important.
Additional money received will allow the possibility of additional afternoon sessions, future groups, or will be added to the Degrowth Network pool for covering costs for Network projects.

Event description:
Do you feel anxious about climate change, grief for species extinction, despair, or anger at the inequalities of our society?
Do you feel overwhelmed by the news? Are you exhausted by the amount of work to be done, or are you unsure where to even begin?
YOU ARE NOT ALONE
Join with others who feel the same way, and work to move through the heavy feelings and deconstruct cultural narratives in this heart-centered program by the Good Grief Network.
Connect with others, share feelings and experiences, explore resources, and learn, heal and grow together, so we can build our collective resilience and empower ourselves to continue to find new ways of being in these times.
This affiliate 10 Step Good Grief program will be run by Good Grief Network trained FLOW facilitator Liz Wade, and friends, in connection with the Degrowth Network Australia.
More info via the links above.
Contact me to find out about other upcoming groups and see also, upcoming groups run by myself and other facilitators listed on the Good Grief Network's website.

Local groups can be run in Ballarat, Melbourne and other locations within Victoria. I am open to requests to run groups in other locations, or to share info about how you can run your own group. The program is designed to be run by anyone, with training from the Good Grief Network, and I would love to help grow this network of support in any way I can, alongside the support provided by the Good Grief founders, team and wider Good Grief Network.
Please get in touch to stay in the loop or find out more. For Facebook events, you may also see my (somewhat neglected) Living Lightly With Love facebook page.
